The Farmer Foundation, Inc

Who We Are

Honoring the Past, Empowering the Future

The Farmer Foundation, Inc. is committed to creating equitable learning environments for students and teachers in under-resourced communities.

Established in honor of Reverend George and Deaconess Emma Farmer, whose legacy of compassion and service inspires our mission, we focus on providing critical resources to underserved communities. Our programs include scholarships, college and career preparation, educator support and other initiatives to ensure both students and educators have the tools they need to thrive. We prioritize serving underrepresented and under-resourced secondary school students, with a focus on high school learners. In addition, we support educators by addressing gaps in funding and resources.

By fostering academic excellence and empowering students, and engaging and supporting educators, we aim to uplift communities, create opportunities, and inspire long-term change.
The Farmer Foundation is based in Quincy, Florida (Gadsden County), a community known for its commitment to education. While Quincy serves as our primary focus area, our vision is to expand our impact to nearby regions, as we grow.

Our Mission

The Farmer Foundation’s mission is to foster academic excellence by supporting and empowering students, engaging and supporting educators, and advocating for educational equity. Through partnerships with schools, school administrators, communities, businesses, and educational institutions, we strive to ensure students reach their full academic potential and long-term success in their careers and communities. Our work is rooted in a commitment to uplifting underrepresented and under-resourced populations, providing them with access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.

Our Vision

Our vision is to create a future where every student has equitable access to quality education and every educator is empowered with the tools to inspire and teach effectively. We aspire to help build stronger communities by fostering a culture of learning, equity, and empowerment, ensuring that the legacy of education drives societal progress for generations to come.
