STUDENT EMPOWERMENT

Supporting the Arts

In December 2025, The Farmer Foundation (TFF) was proud to provide a $1,000 donation to the Gadsden County High School (GCHS) Band as part of our commitment to arts education and student empowerment. The check was presented by Board members Mary Farmer Bailey and Shayla-Lightfoot Brown.

This support reflects our belief that music fosters discipline, confidence, and community, while also strengthening connections to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Through this investment, we were able to help students secure the equipment and resources needed to develop their talents.

STUDENT PROGRAMS

Seeds to Success Tutoring

In Fall 2025, The Farmer Foundation, Inc. launched the Seeds to Success Tutoring Cohort in partnership with Closing The Achievement Gap, Inc., under the direction of Rev. Dr. Nekeshia Harris. The program supports high school students by addressing their needs for ACT and SAT testing through personalized tutoring, mentorship, and college readiness support.

Family Café

In March 2026, The Farmer Foundation, Inc. was proud to support the Gadsden County School District’s first Family Café, sponsored by the Exceptional Student Education Department. The event provided families with valuable resources, engaging activities, and prizes.
Board Member Shayla Lightfoot-Brown participated in a dual role, representing both her professional capacity and The Farmer Foundation by sharing information about our mission and events.
The Foundation also contributed gift cards for participant prizes, supporting a welcoming and rewarding experience for families.
