Johnita Farmer-Patterson
Johnita Farmer-Patterson, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, has spent most of her life in Atlanta, Georgia, where she resides with her supportive husband and their three incredible children. Her personal and professional journey is rooted in a deep commitment to family, community, and purposeful impact.
Johnita’s passion for learning and helping others first began to take shape in the halls of Booker T. Washington High School in Atlanta, GA. That passion flourished at Clark Atlanta University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Eager to make a meaningful impact on young minds, she went on to pursue a Master of Education in School Counseling at the University of West Alabama. Her academic journey continued with post-graduate studies in Applied Behavioral Analysis at Purdue University, where she developed a deep understanding of behavioral mechanics that would later shape her teaching approach.
With over thirteen years of experience in middle school education, she has dedicated her career to inspiring and nurturing students during one of the most formative periods of their lives. Inside the classroom, she has witnessed the transformative power of education as students discover their strengths and reach their full potential.
Beyond the classroom, she wears many hats—mother, wife, and entrepreneur. Thirteen years ago, she founded a trucking company, a bold and rewarding venture that deepened her understanding of business, resilience, and hard work.
Her combined experience in education and entrepreneurship has given her a unique perspective on how to bridge the development of young minds with the realities of the world beyond school. She strongly believes in the transformative power of education—both in the classroom and in life.
In her personal time, she finds joy in traveling, gardening, and hiking scenic trails with her family. These moments of connection with nature and loved ones bring balance and inspiration to her busy life.
As she continues this journey of growth and service, her commitment remains rooted in enriching students’ lives and making meaningful contributions to the school community. With optimism and enthusiasm, she looks forward to future collaborations and the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.
